On what felt like a wintery day, the True social and fundraising committee team were in high spirits for the day ahead as we held our annual charity day on Thursday 26th September 2024.
This year our aim was to raise as much money as possible for our 2024 nominated charity Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity.
The usual favourite activities took place including a raffle, a tombola, a big fat quiz of the year and the infamous bake sale. Plus new activities for this year included a True bake off with 2 of our partners taking on the role of Pru and Paul, a Nintendo Switch sports day plus a guess the number of sweets in the jar.
A fantastic day of fun was had by all and we were delighted to raise an incredible £2,112.24 on the day, added to the £572.00 we raised through the year to date, making a grand total so far this year of £2,684.24.
