On Friday 27th September a team of 16 rowers took part in the 2nd NE1 corporate dragon boat race, captained this year by partner Andrew Mayall.

The team had much colder and wetter weather conditions this year, and improved on their finish times in each round, even beating last year’s times in the 2nd and 3rd round.

Unfortunately on the day they were beaten by some real powerhouse teams, eventually finishing in 14th place. The team were also unable to retain last year’s title of winner in the battle of the lawyers round.

The event was a great day all round, with double the number of teams taking part this year all with the aim of raising money for charity.
