The case:

In May 2022, our client was a passenger in her husband’s vehicle which was reversing out of their driveway onto the carriageway and was hit by the Defendant’s vehicle which was overtaking another vehicle and was also speeding.

Our client’s vehicle went into a spin before crashing into another vehicle and then a wall.

Our client suffered from a catalogue of injuries including a bleed to the brain, a laceration to her frontal scalp, 30 fractures to 10 ribs which required surgery to rebuild her ribcage, a collapsed lung, severe bruising, a left wrist fracture and 2 dislocated finger joints.

Her injuries required a 4 week stay in hospital and several sessions of physio.
